Two killed, 32 injured in road mishap
Dhading, June 30: Two persons died and 32 others were injured when three vehicles collided with each at Krishnabhir of Benighatrorang rural municipality-7 of Dhading district along Prithvi highway on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Shyam Kumar Shrestha, 27, of Benighatrorang rural municipality-2 while identity of another deceased woman has not been ascertained yet.
The woman died on the spot while Shrestha died in course of treatment, said information officer at the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rupak Khadka.
The accident took place when three vehicles-- a bus (Lu 1 Kha 9079) heading towards Chitwan from Kathmandu, a micro bus (Ba 3 Kha 1004) en route to Kathmandu from Chitwan and another micro bus (Ba 2 Kha 4567) collided with each other.
Of the injured, 18 people have been referred to Trauma Centre from Highway Community Hospital. Similarly, seven others are receiving treatment at Gajuri Hospital and two at Charaudi Hospital. The remaining injured persons have returned home after treatment.
