Paragliding begins in Dhankuta

Dhankuta, June 22: Chuliban hill and Yakchanaghat of Dhankuta Municipality Ward Number-7, the two tourist spots in the district, have added paragliding in their adventure package.
Dhankuta Municipality together with Koshi Adventure Private Limited of Itahari introduced paragliding to foster tourism in the area.
A flight test was carried out on the same spot last year but in vain due to fog.
After a successful flight-test this time, we have started paragliding service for the commercial development of tourism sector as Dhankuta has good prospects for tourism, said Chintan Tamang.
Nabin K.C. a teacher from Bal Sansar Ma Vi said he felt happy when he got an opportunity to paraglide with driver Ram Limbu above the Tamor River.
They said they felt thrilled when the two paraglide over the Tamor river, enjoying the panoramic view of the area.
According to director Suresh Basnet of Koshi Adventure, after landing on the bank of the Tamor River, rafting opportunity will also be made available for the participants.
