States present budget

Kathmandu, June 17: Government of all seven states Sunday unveiled the budget worth around Rs. 260 billion for the next fiscal year 2019/20.
Ministers for Economic Affairs and Planning of each state announced the budget of their respective states in the state assembly on Sunday.
Individual stats have introduced their fiscal budget 17 days after the introduction of the budget from the federal government. Of the total budget, 113.51 billion has been allocated for recurrent expenditure while Rs. 138.46 billion under the heading capital expenditure.
Based on size, State 3 has introduced the largest sized budget amounting 47.61 billion for the next fiscal year. The State 3 government is one allocating budget having recurrent expenditure more than its capital expenditure. However, remaining six states have introduced the budget with capital expenditure exceeding their recurrent expenditure in the proposed budget.
According to Our District Correspondents, the government of the State 1 has presented a budget of Rs. 42.20 billion, State 2 presented Rs. 38.72 billion and Gandaki State presented Rs. 32.13 billion.
Similarly, State 5 unveiled a budget of Rs. 36.44 billion, Karnali State Rs. Rs.34.35 billion and Sudur Paschim Rs. 28.16 billion.
