President administers oath to ambassador
Kathmandu, May 8: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly-appointed ambassador of Nepal to Canada, Bhrigu Dhungana, at a special ceremony held at the Rstrapati Bhawan, Shital Niwas today.
The President had appointed Dhungana, who was serving as joint-secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to the post on April 1.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi and the Nepalese Army Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Sharad Giri, among other distinguished persons, were present on the occasion.
