'International Girls in ICT Day' marked with morning rally
Kathmandu, April 25: A morning rally was organized on the occasion of 'International Girls in ICT Day' today.
The morning rally was hosted by the Ministry of Communications nad Information Technology (MoCIT) and Nepal Telecommunications Authority, among others.
It had started from Kamaladi and went around Ghantaghar, Exhibition Road and Putalisdak before converged into corner meet at Purnakodsabha.
On the occasion, the participants carried placards reading 'Let women join hands for ICT and unleashing development in the country', 'Let us assure children future from ICT', 'Participation of adolescent girls in ICT; effectiveness in the making of digital Nepal' ad 'Women's access to technology, translating digital Nepal's dream into action'.
Addressing the corner meet, NTA Chairperson Purswottam Khanal said this year the international ICT day has been focused on urban it would be expanded to rural areas in coming years. (RSS)
