No to encroachment on free press: state 2 minister Yadav
Bardibas, Mahottari, March 20: Minister of state 2 for Internal Affairs and Law Gynendra Kumar Yadav has said any infringement of free press and fearless journalism could not be tolerated. He also stressed the need for journalism to expose problems of the society by disseminating factual information. He was speaking at an orientation programme on relations between journalists and parliamentary affairs journalism and parliament secretariat. "Media should be aware of evil impacts generated in the society by baseless and fake news and information."
On the occasion, journalist Taranath Dahal presented two working papers on parliamentary affairs journalism: concept, practice and challenge and on parliament, parliament secretariat, members of parliament and journalists. Likewise, former lawmaker and advocate Rewati Raman Bhandari interacted on parliamentary process and information dissemination.
