SA member Gurung sets up revolving fund for college scholarship
Kaski, Feb 11: Gandaki province State Assembly member Meena Gurung has set up a revolving fund of Rs 200 thousand at the Pokhara Multiple Campus based in Pokhara metropolis-9 in Kaski.
The fund is meant for providing scholarship to poor students on the basis of merit list. Gurung who says she highly values the meaning of education in human life herself is a Bachelor-level student in the campus. Gurung said she was determined to keep learning until her health permits.
As she said, she has been spending remuneration she draws as the SA member for social welfare and benefit of students, aged citizens, persons with physical disabilities and helpless.
The central vice chair of the GEFONT also holds the executive officer post of Hong Kong Beauty Institute Pvt Ltd and Clara International Spa and Beauty College.
Campus Chief Shishukala Parajuli has thanked the SA member for her financial contribution to set up the fund. (RSS)
