Actress Neeta bags Best Actress Award at San Francisco Int’l Film Festival

nitaKathmandu, November 1: Actress Neeta Dhungana has won the best actress award at the ongoing San Francisco International Film Festival held in San Franciso, California, United State of America (USA).

Actress Dhungana received the prestigious award for her movie “Panchayat”.

Dhungana has co-starred the movie in which senior actor Saroj Khanal has done the lead role.

The movie, “Panchayat”, has also won the foreigners language category title in the international film festival that kicked off from October 25.

Actress Dhungana, who started her acting career since her childhood, has more than a dozen movies in her credit.

Rupa Rana, Gita Adhikari, Ganesh Giri, Bishal Pahari, Kiran Thapa and Raj Babu Shrestha featured in the movie that tells the tale of the Nepali society of 50 years ago.

 Shivam Adhikari is the director and writer of the movie scheduled to be released in March next year.

The festival will continue till November 5.
